The BFB plants produce Combined Heat and Power for the rendering process, 15 MW electrical and 15 MW thermal. This system has worked very well for 13 years however PDM have decided to use BPL’s skills and experience to improve their performance.

BPL’s Technical Director Dr Yaobin Yang whose specialist area as a Doctor of Thermal Science is combustion and boiler design, will optimise the process using CFD (Computerised Fluid Dynamics) modelling and his years of commercial experience and knowledge gained from Sheffield University.

The RWM show 'best ever'

rwm

The RWM show was BPL's best ever, this show was the third RWM show where BPL had a stand. A record number of NEW enquires were taken and a great deal of interest was rekindled with some old industry contacts of BPL's.

The show was very focused on what opportunities recycling waste can bring to a business. BPL's unique Technology really seemed to tick all of the boxes when it came to utilizing residues that were left over from other process like MRF's, shredders and composting facilities.
